What is Arise Peaks & Dales?

Arise Peaks & Dales is a prayer and mission movement that invites believers in the region to live their faith more freely.

Arise Peaks & Dales launched in March 2023. A time of focused prayer covering for those faithfully farming the land in all conditions, and for our young people, schools, teachers,, shop keepers, office workers, the railways, bus and transport drivers all people of our towns and villages. Some 40 signed up to the Arise App in 2023, and covered 300 miles, seeking blessing for others along the way.

May the Lord our God be honoured in all we say and do, as we pray quietly for those around us, and for the opportunity to share with those in need, words of hope and blessing. 

“Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile.

Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”

In March 2021, over 1,500 believers from nearly 100 different churches rose up together to pray for Sheffield.

A group within the Peaks & Dales felt called to run with this vision for our region.

The story so far…

We were emboldened in our faith in a new way. We formed new local relationships, and began to meet and prayer walk across the Peaks and Dales.

Arisers told us that they felt more purposeful, connected, and energised: their faith was exciting them in a new way.

We know God has not finished fulfilling His purposes in the Peaks & Dales, so this year - like the persistent widow from Jesus’ parable - we're continuing to pray to see the region transformed.
